How to pay a bill

Find out how to pay a bill in Internet Banking

You pay everyday bills like utilities, credit cards, the government, charities, etc through the 'Bill payments' facility.

(Transfers of money to other people, like family and friends, are made through the 'Funds transfer' facility).

Step 1
First, select 'Bill payment' from the 'Payments menu'

Step 2 - Set up your billers

Before you make a payment, you need to have set up the beneficiary (biller). You do this by selecting 'My biller list' from the left-hand menu. You can also set up a new biller whilst making a payment, you then have the option of saving the biller.

If you've already got billers set up, they'll be listed here.

If you want to set up a new biller, simply click the 'Add biller' button at the top right hand side of the screen, and follow the instructions.



Step 3 - Choose your biller
Click on 'New bill payment' on the left-hand menu, then:
Select the account you want to pay the bill from
Choose your biller from the drop-down menu
Click the Next button

Step 4 - Enter your payment details
Simply fill in your reference number, amount and the date you want the payment to happen on, and click the Next button.

Step 5 - Confirm your payment details

Then confirm your payment by entering your Internet Banking password.
