A minimum deposit of £50 is required to achieve the quoted rate. Interest is payable annually and at Maturity and the rate is fixed for the term quoted.
#If an early withdrawal of the full amount is requested before the term of 5 years, the stated interest rate will not be achieved. Such a withdrawal will be subject to an early repayment charge (£10 minimum charge) the amount is dependent on the number of days to Maturity. Ask at any branch for details. Full Terms and Conditions are available on request. The charge will be deducted from any accrued interest, but where there is insufficient accrued interest to meet the charge in full, any additional sum will be deducted from the capital in the account. No partial withdrawals are permitted.
*Gross Rate interest is the interest payable without taking account of the deduction of income tax. For most customers tax will be deducted at the lower rate prevailing at the time of payment (currently 20%).
Full Terms and Conditions are available on request. The Child Savings Bond is only available to children aged 0 - 16 years inclusive.
